LATTERIA COSTA DI BAZZANO

Latteria Sociale Costa Di Bazzano is a dairy located about 500 m a.s.l. in the hills that surround the city of Parma. Its identification number 3088 assigned by the Parmigiano-Reggiano Consortium is well-known and appreciated within its territory.

Established in the 60’s, the dairy currently includes some thirty partners who provide milk from their farms all located in the nearby hills and mountains.

Backed by its modern and highly efficient processing plant, the dairy yearly turns 60,000 tons of milk into 12,000 wheels of Parmigiano Reggiano cheese.
The Parmigiano Reggiano cheese produced by Latteria Costa di Bazzano it is certified mountain is obtained from sustainable farming, and cows are fed with fodder from certified mixtures of cereals and hay in order to guarantee premium quality cheese.

According to its aging period, the Parmigiano Reggiano cheese can be best enjoyed after a maturation of 18, 24 or over 30 months. In addition, Latteria Costa di Bazzano offers “Gran Fresco”, 1 top specialtie.

The entire Parmigiano Reggiano cheese selection together with butter and fresh cheese are on sale at the dairy shop.
